Earth Day Drive 🌍
This Earth Day, the students of Ganga Valley Public School stepped beyond the classroom and into the heart of the community with a mission: to raise awareness about waste management and segregation.
As part of an impactful Earth Day drive, our students visited local neighborhoods and interacted with residents, educating them about the difference between wet and dry waste, and why it’s important to separate them at the source. To make the lesson practical and easy to understand, students carried green and red dustbins:
• Blue Dustbin: for wet waste like vegetable peels, leftover food, and other biodegradable items.
• Red Dustbin: for dry waste such as plastic wrappers, paper, and other non-biodegradables.
They even carried real examples of wet and dry “kuda” (waste) to help locals clearly see the difference.
🚮 With energy and compassion, our students explained:
• How segregation helps reduce pollution and makes recycling easier.
• How it protects animals and prevents harmful dumping.
• And how every household can be part of the solution by using blue and red bins correctly.
The community welcomed this initiative warmly, with many promising to start proper waste segregation right away.
We’re incredibly proud of our students for being young leaders and environmental educators. On this Earth Day, they didn’t just learn — they taught, inspired, and created real impact.
🌿 Because change starts with awareness.
🌎 Because every day should be Earth Day.
💚 Because our students are shaping a greener future.
